Wrapping Up Holiday Generosity
The Eastern Plumas Angel Program (EPAP) wrapped up another year of holiday gift distribution. Dink Rife, the founder, and chairperson of the Angel Program, reported that people have been more generous than ever this year.
That generosity has been needed, as more families signed up to participate in the program than in years past. Close to 180 kids signed up for the program this year. The Angel Program was able to assemble 96 bags with books, toys, and jackets to go to local families.
At the Plumas-Sierra Rural Electric Cooperative (PSREC) and Plumas-Sierra Telecommunications office in Portola, employees donated more than fifteen coats.
Amidst challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic, there are many ways to help others. PSREC extends its gratitude to all of the organizations and individuals who gave back during this holiday season.
The Eastern Plumas Angel Program relies on donations to provide these much-needed items to local families.
Monetary donations can be mailed to P.O. Box 1551, Graeagle, CA 96103. Make checks payable to EPAP. For more information, call (530) 832-1827.
