The marquee sign in front of the Portola office is PSREC’s Community Events Board. Each year, PSREC receives dozens of requests to post messages for community events. The service is free to the public. Preference is given to non-profit organizations. Requests are processed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Every effort will be made to balance requests throughout the community. Requests to use the sign must be submitted in writing. In order to improve our efficiencies and for your convenience, we ask you to complete the Events Board Request Form and mail, fax or drop it off at the Portola office. Approval of the request is at PSREC’s sole discretion.
The seventh Cooperative Principle states: While focusing on member needs, cooperatives work for the sustainable development of their community through policies accepted by their members. PSREC and its employees are dedicated to the growth, vitality and well-being of our community. Many of our employees volunteer their time, talent and expertise for the greater good of the community. Occasionally, an organization may request additional resources from the cooperative to accomplish a purpose or project. PSREC’s Community Service Request Form is for requests for service where, in addition to PSREC staff, use of cooperative service equipment is needed.
Request forms must be submitted by mail, fax or droped off at the Portola office to the attention of the PSREC Community Service Request Committee, detailing work needed, expected time and schedule needed. Approval and schedule of work is at PSREC’s sole discretion. PSREC will attempt to balance efforts throughout its service area, groups and communities.
